Description of Votes on Choice Bills and Amendments

2. SB 785 (Sen. Shapiro): Medical Records Privacy Invasion Act:
This bill would have required doctors and judges to report a myriad of personal information of women seeking abortions to the State under threat of criminal penalties.

  1. The first scored vote was taken to pass the bill out of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee on 4/02/2007. A pro-choice vote was a "nay" vote against the bill.
  2. A second scored vote was taken to consider the bill on the Senate floor on 4/25/2007. A pro-choice vote was a "nay" vote for the bill.
  3. A third scored vote was taken on the Senate floor to pass the bill to the House on 4/26/2007. A pro-choice vote was a "nay" vote against the bill.
